She loves her Joe! A Coffee Themed Bridal Shower

Welcome back! Sorry about the long stretch from my last blog post, but things have been very busy! Between weddings, bar mitzvahs, showers, and tons of design happenings, I've been totally wrapped up in creating. Not to mention putting the finishing touches on our fully re-designed website! At the same time however,  I have been compiling loads of projects to share with you! So, be sure to stay tuned in the coming weeks and if you're so inclined, leave your email in the box on the right to have updates sent to you automatically.

This very special shower starts with a sweet story...
Joe contacted me last summer about planning his fiance's bridal shower (I know, you're melting already). He came to me prepared with the concept for the invitation, and lots of ideas for the shower. We sat together in Panera and brainstormed how to refine his ideas and make it all come together. Apparently, his fiance Bettina, the bride-to-be, LOVES coffee, and being that his name is Joe, she LOVES HER JOE! Clever isn't it?!?

Thus, a coffee themed bridal shower was born... The invitation was created to resemble a Bed Bath and B.... circular, as that is where the couple was registered. AND... Joe had snuck a picture of Bettina wielding the scanner gun while they were registering. Is this perfect or what?
What planning!

The back featured their names as a play on the Bed Bath and B.... wording.

Now on to the deliciousness of the shower...

Guests were welcomed by a lavish escort card display. The large statement piece was the giant coffee cup created from lots of little Starbuck's cups and wrapped with a custom designed "Coozy" banner.

We designed the escort cards to look like the side of a Starbuck's cup (where they write your name and coffee preference) except the notations let the guests know where they were seated. Then we nestled the place cards in a rustic tray of coffee beans (dark roast if you must know).
Tables were adorned with our burlap table numbers, nestled in a vintage box filled with coffee beans, and 2 candles in vases of beans lit the sides.
The adorable coffee candle favors were sourced by the groom and even had beans in them!
Joe also thought of the very fitting sentiment.
My mouth was watering as I set them out on the tables as they smelled delicious.
Plus, those mugs... awesome!

It was such a pleasure to work with Joe on creating this very special day for Bettina! Wait till you see what the 3 of us have cooking up for their wedding!
