Sparkle On Mr. & Mrs! A Sweetheart Table to Begin a Beautiful Future

To begin today's post, I have to thank everyone who reads this blog. My readership has been increasing steadily over the past few months and I wanted to let you know, that you, the creatives, brides, grooms, moms, dads, singles, DIY lovers, and anyone else who reads my blog for inspiration and ideas, or just happens upon it, make it all worth writing. Ok, sappiness over. But thanks :)

I have been very excited to share this post with my readers. I love nothing more than collaborating with other fabulous vendors and creative people. This project was a great collaboration and resulted in the couple getting exactly what they had dreamed of. Does it get any better? I think not!

A few months ago, while working with a client, my friend Sonja from Black Dahlia Floral Design emailed me asking if I could create the Mr. & Mrs. sign
as seen in her bride's sweetheart table inspiration picture below...
(a sweetheart table is where the bride and groom sit during the reception, it used to be referred to as the dais)
The florals, gorgeous dazzling pillars and containers were the perfect job for the ladies at Black Dahlia, who are always creating fabulous events.
And I, was MORE than happy to help create that sparkly sign!

First I was determined to find a cut-out with a similar elegant, not too chunky, and beautiful script font. As I began my search, I found out that a lot of the signage available would stand on its own, but was only 3-4" tall and in chunky lettering. That was not going to work for me. So I decided that I'd have to find a company that would make the sign custom, to my specified height and dimensions, with the saying and font that I choose.
Amazingly, I found just that company, and their work was exquisite! After choosing the matching font seen in the inspiration photo, I ordered the sign, and held my breath.

Then this arrived...
Cue huge sigh of relief!
It was perfect for what I had envisioned! Oh happy day!

Then came the job of making it sparkle...
After a few trial and error runs on a piece of scrap wood, I perfected the look and technique of how to make the piece just the right amount of sparkly.

And yes, of course, I set up a little photo shoot so that I could showcase the final product.
I was elated with the result.
Now the sign was very carefully packaged up and delivered to Sonja
for display on the sweetheart table.

Ta-da! Here's the evening of the wedding,
and the completed sweetheart table by Black Dahlia,  isn't it gorgeous?!?!?!
Just look at that sparkle, exquisite!

Here's a side by side of the inspiration pic and the final result
(well, top and bottom comparison anyway)
I'd say that we nailed it :)

This sign is now available for rent. Contact us if you're interested.

So, what part of your event are you stuck on?
Let me know in the comments and my next post just may have your answer!

Sparkle On!
