The Best Things Come in Small Packages - Baby Shower Invitations

Standing at my little 5 feet and maybe half an inch, I've always loved the saying "good things come in small packages". Wait, wait, hold your horses tall friends, not all great things come in small packages. One of my dearest friends is over 6 feet tall, and in my book she's one of the best, so it's not a rule, just a good saying. But, I'm willing to bet that there's not an expectant parent on this planet that would disagree that the birth of their child was the BEST thing ever.  So, when asked to design invitations for a very close friend's baby shower, I wanted to create a meaningful piece, that would convey lots of love in a tiny package. I even pumped it up to "The BEST things come in small packages". And, when it comes to babies, it's completely true!

Guests received these tiny envelopes (4-Bar sized - 3 5/8" x 5 1/8") adorned with butterfly stamps… Mom-to-be LOVES butterflies, so when the USPS offered these, I seized the opportunity, and they happened to be the perfect $.66 postage that these cuties required!

Inside the envelope, sits a tiny brown envelopment with a closure tab that reads…
"The best things come in small packages"
Any design that features a little package inside the envelope is a winner in my book.
It's so much fun to open layers inside an envelope.
Check out the great envelope liners that I found to match our brown, green, orange color scheme! They added just the right touch to the envelopes. There are so many color variations that I was dreaming about as I was sourcing these as well. Teals, pinks, black and white, you name it, lots of little girl and unisex themes too!
Upon opening the envelopment, guests are greeted with this…
A little announcement of munchkin's impending arrival and that it's a boy!
That lovely front greeting, unfolds accordion style to present a larger, main invitation. I wanted it to seem like the invitation was growing right out of it's little packaging, just like a baby.
The fun chalkboard styled fonts give all of the information about the baby shower, and festivities.
And of course, I had to sneak in some abstract butterflies for mom.
Super unique if I do say so myself. Thanks for reading and please pass along to anyone you know who might need shower, or birth announcements coming up! As a birth announcement variation, I can just imagine a picture of the little one on the inside with all of the birth information.

These invitations are available in our Etsy shop and are completely customizable!

Sparkle On!
