Vermont in July Part 3 - Le Piece de Resistance! - Wedding Day... Congratulations to Jackie and Matt and Best Wishes for a Wonderful, Fun, Future Together Filled with Skiing!

The Ski Lift Ticket Save the Dates introduced guests,
The elegant subtly Ski Themed Invitations welcomed them
and now... (drum roll please) we bring you the wedding day...

You may have already been introduced to Jackie and Matt's wedding in our write up of their Save the Dates or Invitations, but here's the short version. Jackie and Matt LOVE to ski, they love ski things, they love Vermont and the feel of being in the mountains. When we first met to discuss the wedding, they wanted a ski theme, but were worried that at a Country Club on Long Island in July, this was not possible. But, when Sparkle and Ink is involved, ANYTHING is possible.

So, we decided on a theme that would embrace the beauty of "Vermont in July" which is a gorgeous time of year to be in the mountains. The elements of accent being woods, lush greens and the couple's custom designed ski logo carrying through.

As guests entered the club, they were greeted by the escort card table and 2 large arrangements brought over from the ceremony. The arrangements were done with an organic feel and gorgeous purple accents to complement the green and yellow tones.

Sparkle and Ink created escort cards to match the custom logo on the invitations, then sourced birch logs to act as holders for the cards. Guests could appreciate the natural, elegance as soon as they arrived.

They were then ushered to the courtyard of the club for the cocktail hour. Diana of Petals Floral and Party Design of Locust Valley, NY, and her team created natural, simple, and yet stunning centerpieces for the cocktail tables.
The simplicity of the tables, along with the setting of the golf course and pond behind the patio
 was simply breathtaking!

After cocktails, guests were welcomed into the main dining room.
One of the first design decisions that we had addressed in the main room, was the large fabric paneling on the walls of the country club. They did not match the theme, so we decided to "drape" the walls in a soft, ivory fabric, so that all of the subsequent design elements could sparkle away!

Here's a before and after shot:

If you're not familiar with draping, it's a non-invasive way to cover walls to add elegance to a space, or to hide unwanted design elements. I'd say in this case, it made a dramatic difference in our ability to create the bride and groom's vision.

Diana designed a mix of high and low centerpieces to coordinate with the couple's colors of green and soft yellow.  She also supplied the AMAZING table linens, which reminded us of a grassy field. Can you see that texture! Swoon!!

Sparkle and Ink created table names that matched the couple's favorite ski trails. Backed on real birch bark, the trail names coordinated perfectly with the natural, organic feel of the arrangements.
Can you guess which VT mountain the trails are from?

On tables with the higher centerpieces, the base was a clear glass with curly willow branches running through. Diana of Petals created a clustering at the base with 2 coordinating smaller arrangements and 2  vases with floating candles. Votives were also placed on all tables to give a stunning soft glow to the room as guests entered at dusk.

Sparkle and Ink designed the menus which were custom folded into the coordinating napkins. The menus featured the same ski logo, as did the donation cards placed on each table, to let guests know that Matt and Jackie had made a donation as a thank you for their attendance.

Sparkle and Ink also created detail signs, again backed in birch to complement the bathroom accessory basket and the basket of chocolate treats with personalized labels for guests to enjoy at the end of the evening.
Just a few last details to note... Curly willow branches were used to accent the theme throughout the main room, the bar and the entry foyer. Diana helped to bring the lush green feel to the ceiling by hanging delicate green vines from the chandeliers.

On the day of the wedding, the sun was shining, the golf course was lush, and the feeling of Vermont in July brought a personalized touch to a beautiful occasion.

Here's an overview shot. It was absolutely stunning...
